VULCAN Folding Handle Load Binder (Two Pack) with 2 Grab Hooks - Ratchet Style - 7100 Pound Safe Working Load (Works with 5/16 Inch or 3/8 Inch Grade 70 and Grade 80 Chain)
- Folding handle for safety and ease of use - The forged ratchet style handles fold down to eliminate the dangers of catching on a handle that sticks out while in use. When extended, the handles provide extra leverage so you can get the proper amount of tension on your chain tie-downs every time. The forged steel pawl and gear system is easy to use and prevents "snap backs" and other dangers to users when loading and unloading.
- Vinyl 3-position gear levers and vinyl coated bodies – The three-position gears allow you to switch modes from extension, tightening, and free spin with just a quick turn of the lever. Free spin mode is intended for fast adjustment in either direction and the vinyl coated bodies provide a solid grip so you can quickly take up as much slack as possible before switching the gear to the final tightening mode.
- Industrial strength construction - The heavy-duty forged handles, barrels, take-up screws, links and hooks are intended to stand up to rigorous field use and harsh weather conditions. Baked on powder coating and zinc-dichromate plating provide maximum durability and reliability. The forged grab hooks swivel 360 degrees and engage easily with 3/8-inch and 5/16-inch chain.
- Properly rated with your safety in mind - These binders have a 7,100 lbs. Safe Working Load and are intended for use with up to 3/8-inch Grade 70 chain. The rating is based on a 4:1 safety factor. 4:1 is the correct safety factor, recommended by the NACM, and our binders are always rated properly and meet or exceed all CVSA and DOT specifications. BEWARE: some other binders on the market that are only rated at a 3:1 safety factor, which is not safe and can be very misleading to the user.
